Our History
CPT was founded in 1992 as the Domestic Violence Project (DVP)/Family Life Skills.Our services have expanded to provide a large range of therapeutic services to work with clients through crisis and longer term issues of relationship patterns, abuse, marital breakdown, family violence, substance abuse and addictions as well as offering services to companies and corporate counselling in conflict management and assertiveness training.
We are located in Fulham Palace in West London and are easily accessible to clients who are referred through GP practitioners, churches, and those who self-refer,
As part of the commitment to meeting the needs of families, CPT is providing the following programmes: the Family Life Skills programme (beginning in 1993) the Being Together programme for couples which began in 1997 and the Perception of Love programme, restoring closeness within families, was instigated in 1999, IMPACT Addiction and Mood Management in 2004 and Schema therapy in 2006.
