Volunteering, Clinical Placements

Volunteering, Clinical Placements

A review of volunteering at Counselling Trust has just taken place and we hope that we will be able to find an area of interest for anyone considering becoming a volunteer with Counselling Trust. We receive a large number of enquiries regarding volunteering and we strive to find mutually beneficial areas for volunteers to work in or develop.

Due to the nature of the organisation, we are in some ways limited to what we can offer as jobs for volunteers. For ethical reasons all volunteers must be prepared to sign a confidentiality agreement.

PLEASE NOTE

To be considered for a position as a counsellor or psychotherapist the applicant must be a qualified psychodynamic counsellor or psychotherapist, have some experience of counselling an appropriate range of clients and have completed, or be in, ongoing psychodynamic or psychoanalytic personal therapy or be group psychotherapy. The applicant must also work within the BACP Ethical Framework and relevant UKCP ethical requirements, and ensure that they maintain sound ethical standards of practice.

Counselling Trust is open from Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 9pm, 11 hours per day, with core office hours being 9am to 5pm.
