You can contact us yourself - you do not need to be referred. Just call the Assessment Office on 020 7384 9212 to make an appointment for an Initial Consultation.
You will then be sent a letter confirming your appointment.

The Initial Consultation

The Initial Consultation takes approximately 45 - 60 minutes. An experienced therapist will explore with you your needs, your expectations, and whether the services we offer can help you. The therapist whom you see for the initial consultation is unlikely to be your counsellor or psychotherapist for subsequent sessions.

Following the Initial Consultation we will consider the best way forward and contact you with our recommendations. Occasionally we will need further information or require you to have a second, more specialised assessment. If we think that our services cannot provide the help you need, we will suggest alternatives wherever possible. Once the recommendation is made, therapy will start as soon as possible. You can help to speed things up by being as flexible about your times of availability as possible, and by paying the initial consultation fees promptly.

For the Initial Consultation: the fee ranges from £25 to £100.

The cost of services at CPT

CPT is a charity committed to providing affordable services. We therefore operate a sliding scale of fees. We try to set a fee that takes into account your financial circumstances, whilst contributing towards the realistic cost of services. The fees are discussed and agreed with you.
