Adolescent Groups
These groups help adolescent in a variety of ways: they receive emotional support, resolve conflicts with people, understand feelings and problems, and try out new solutions to old problems. Group goals may be specific (change in behaviour, improved relations with friends or family), or more general (less anxiety, better self-esteem).A trusting environment makes it possible for an adolescents to express his/her thoughts and feelings and use the therapy in a helpful way in school, with peers and in family/sibling relationships. Activities involve games, videos as well as talking, and these are important ways of sharing feelings and resolving problems.
